Smotrich stated that shrapnel pierced his son's back and abdomen, causing serious damage to his liver. HE MADE A STATEMENT ABOUT HIS SON
In his statement, Smotrich said, "Shrapnel pierced my son's back and abdomen, shredding his liver. One of the shrapnels stopped right next to the largest vein in the abdominal area. If it had ruptured the vein, my son could have been injured much more severely."
KATZ HAS A MESSAGE
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz also published a message of support for the Smotrich family. In his statement, Katz conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery for Benya Hebron, extending his best wishes to Finance Minister Smotrich and his family.
Katz stated in his message, "I support my friend Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and his family, and I wish for a quick recovery for his son who was injured in Lebanon while fulfilling his duty against the terrorist organization Hezbollah."
Katz, who also supported the Israeli army, emphasized that the security forces have shown great sacrifice for the country. Katz said, "I embrace and support all IDF fighters who bravely and selflessly fight in all areas for the security of the State of Israel.
