In a statement regarding the matter, Müge Dağıstanlı said, "Sibel Can does not want this to be widely publicized. Cengizhan was her friend for 30 years... The singer has many payments, such as for costumes and similar things. She entrusts some expenses to Cengizhan, whom she trusted like a safe. After Cengizhan's death, his family reached out to Sibel Can. They said, 'After all the payments made from the money you gave us for various expenses, there is 8 million TL left. We want to return this to you.' Sibel Can replied, 'Let this be for the education of the children in your family.' She firmly states that she will not accept it," she added.
