Ayşe Ateş announced that the former chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and the former chairman of the İYİ Party, Meral Akşener, offered her candidacy for parliamentary positions from places where she could be elected. Stating that she did not accept the offer at that time, Ateş expressed regret over her decision.

Ateş, who said, "I thought, should I do politics over my husband's blood, but I regretted it a lot," argued that the murder of Sinan Ateş was at the center of politics. "Not accepting this offer was foolish, but now I am considering entering politics. There is no other way for this," she stated.
