Uskudar Mayor Sinem Dedetas appeared as a guest on journalist Fatih Altayli's program and gave an interesting response to the question of whether she would be a candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor if Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu becomes a presidential candidate. Dedetas stated that this situation is honorable, but she is currently focused on Uskudar. She also emphasized that 24 hours is a long time in politics and it is uncertain how the agenda will develop.

Fatih Altaylı, "When everyone looks at you, they see that you will be the next mayor of Istanbul. Do you have such an idea? I don't want to cause trouble for you, I don't want to turn the arrows within the party towards you, but if Ekrem İmamoğlu runs for the presidency, would you also run for the mayorship of Istanbul?" he asked.

"24 HOURS IN POLITICS IS A LONG TIME"

Dedetaş, in response to this question, said, "It's a very nice compliment. I hear this. We don't discuss these things internally because we need to focus on Üsküdar. Our minds should not be distracted elsewhere. Of course, it's a very honorable thing. I also know this; 24 hours in politics is a long time. Therefore, we don't include this in our own agenda because it is not known how this agenda will be, how it will develop. At least being considered worthy is even gratifying."
