HISTORY OF THE INVESTIGATION

Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation on May 6 based on the allegations of Serdar Sertçelik, the fugitive defendant in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization case. 7 out of 10 suspects who were detained as part of the investigation were arrested for crimes such as "attempting to influence a judicial officer, expert, or witness," "disclosing confidential information related to duty," and "favoring the guilty."

Furthermore, it was learned that the investigation into the suspects for the crime of "conspiring to commit an offense against the security of the state or the constitutional order" regulated in Article 316/1 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) is ongoing.
