The Provincial Health Directorate made a statement regarding the death of a 13-year-old child in İzmir due to AIDS. The statement included the following: "It has been learned that no blood transfusion was performed prior to the diagnosis due to the operations the child underwent, and psychiatric evaluations revealed no signs of abuse."

The Provincial Health Directorate, which made a statement regarding the death of a 13-year-old child in İzmir due to AIDS, stated, "It has been learned that no blood transfusion was performed before the diagnosis due to the operations he underwent, and no signs of abuse were found as a result of psychiatric evaluations."

A.E.K., a 13-year-old in İzmir, passed away due to AIDS (HIV). It was revealed that the child's father also tested positive for HIV, and the Provincial Health Directorate made a statement regarding the matter. The statement indicated that no signs of abuse were found.

"NO SIGNS OF ABUSE WERE FOUND"

The statement included the following: "It has become necessary to inform the public regarding the claims reflected in the media about our patient named A.K., who passed away at the age of 13 due to HIV. It has been learned that no blood transfusion was performed before the diagnosis due to the operations he underwent, and no signs of abuse were found as a result of psychiatric evaluations. The process has been referred to the judiciary and is the subject of an ongoing investigation."

In the written statement, it was also reminded that the public should not give credence to misleading statements.
