White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby stated that there is no evidence that the "mysterious" drones flying in New Jersey for some time pose a "security threat."

In a daily press conference, Kirby answered questions from journalists and made a statement regarding the drone flights that have been dominating the agenda in New Jersey for weeks. Kirby said, "So far, we have seen no evidence of a public safety risk, and we do not know what they are. We are still investigating this."

Stating that he could not say anything definitive about the "mysterious" drones that have been occupying the agenda in New Jersey, Kirby expressed that some of the images in the reports of these drones being observed could not be verified as a result of the investigations conducted. Kirby noted that investigations are ongoing regarding the "large and mysterious" drones that have been reported to be observed by many people over New Jersey for weeks, saying, "Although there is no known malicious activity, the reported observations highlight a gap in authority."

CALL FOR LEGISLATION

Kirby stated that the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating the observations and called on the U.S. Congress to enact legislation to "expand drone detection and countermeasure capabilities."

MYSTERY UNSOLVED FOR WEEKS

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the first mysterious drone sightings in New Jersey were detected on November 18 over Morris and Somerset counties, with witnesses stating that the unmanned aerial vehicles were the size of a bicycle or a small car.

The U.S. Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, also announced that it had detected the drones in question. Pentagon Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh stated yesterday regarding the claims that the drones were launched from an Iranian ship near the east coast of the U.S., "There is no truth to this." The source of concern, the "mysterious" drones, have also been detected over the golf course of the elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, in New Jersey, prompting local authorities to impose restrictions on flights in the area due to the possibility of an attack.
