A storm in Pakistan's Punjab province resulted in the deaths of 18 people and injured 92 others.
It was reported that 18 people lost their lives and 92 were injured due to the storm affecting Punjab, the most populous province of Pakistan, resulting in the collapse of old and neglected buildings. In a statement made by the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), it was noted that the casualties occurred in the cities of Jhelum, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sialkot, and Mianwali in the province.
FINANCIAL AID WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE FAMILIES OF THE DECEASED
In the provincial capital Lahore, it was reported that trees were uprooted in many areas, and numerous houses, shops, and vehicles were damaged. PDMA announced that financial aid would be provided to the families of the deceased.
