"Striking remarks by President Erdoğan regarding lieutenants."

27.11.2024 13:01

In a statement regarding the disciplinary action taken against a group of lieutenants after their oath ceremony at the Military Academy graduation, President Erdoğan said, "Who knows what those who do not listen to the commanders' orders will do tomorrow." Erdoğan also responded to criticisms directed at him for presenting diplomas to the top graduates by saying, "They have come in first, what can I do?"

While discussions continue regarding the lieutenants who took a pirate oath by violating the rules at the graduation ceremony, a striking statement came from President Erdoğan.

Speaking at the party group, President Erdoğan stated, "We are also faced with the lieutenants who are being investigated due to their indiscipline displayed at the graduation ceremony. If there is a mistake regarding their indiscipline, this is the result brought to us by the disciplinary board. They made a fuss for the person who was tried and imprisoned for insulting us. They lost their minds to the extent of sitting at the protocol table. The biggest supporter of anyone who insults the nation is the CHP. They have taken a blunt stance regarding the lieutenants referred to the disciplinary board," he said.

"WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY CAN DO TOMORROW"

Continuing his remarks, Erdoğan said, "Discipline is necessary everywhere, but when it comes to the Turkish Armed Forces, it is of vital importance." He added, "We have seen how soldiers in uniforms, inheriting from Pennsylvania, brought the country to the brink of disaster. Who knows what the lieutenants might do tomorrow, despite the commanders' orders? Turkey has experienced many coups and junta attempts. It has been subjected to the disgrace of a post-modern memorandum. What does it mean to glorify those who act indisciplinarily amidst the clashing of swords? It seems that the CHP, as always, has not been able to break free from the tradition of politicizing the army. We will not say 'yes' to the provocation and degradation of our army."
