Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım drew attention to the refereeing ahead of the Galatasaray match, stating, "If we don't fall victim to the referee, we will earn points." Yıldırım mentioned that the team has not deviated from its goals and expressed their desire to break the curse at Ali Sami Yen.
In the 15th week of the Super League, Samsunspor, which will face Galatasaray, had important statements from president Yüksel Yıldırım to journalist Gürkan Sarıkaya. Yıldırım stated that the team is not afraid of any opponent this season and said they will enter the match with confidence.
"IF WE DON'T FALL VICTIM TO REFEREE GAMES AGAIN..."
Yıldırım referred to the controversial referee decisions in recent times, saying, "We will go out and play our game again. It doesn't matter what others do, what matters is what we do. If we don't fall victim to referee games again, it will be a nice match. Our goal is to get points or points. We want to get points from Galatasaray for the first time," he said.
"GALATASARAY'S SITUATION DOESN'T CONCERN US"
Yıldırım, stating that Samsunspor has not deviated from its goals, also touched on the team's winless streak in the last three matches, saying, "We played well in the matches against Beşiktaş, Alanya, and Iceland, but we couldn't win. We missed the victories. Hopefully, we will win against Galatasaray. Their situation doesn't concern us. Before the season started, we set our goal: to be in the top 5 in the league and the last 16 in Europe. We are currently progressing towards these goals," he said. Yıldırım also emphasized that being in fifth place in the league despite losing many points at home is an achievement.
"WE WILL BREAK THE DEVIL'S LEG AT ALİ SAMİ YEN"
Yıldırım, expressing hope for the away match against Galatasaray, said, "Hopefully, we will break the devil's leg at Ali Sami Yen. The goal is 3 points, at worst, not to lose," he concluded his remarks.
