Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis changed his course upon seeing a Turkish-flagged boat docked in the marina during his visit to Leros Island. After first greeting the Turkish citizens with a wave, Mitsotakis then approached the boat and started a conversation, saying, "Welcome, how are you?"
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis continues his visits to islands close to the Turkish coast.
HE APPROACHED THEM UPON SEEING THE TURKISH BOAT
During his program on the island of Leros, Mitsotakis noticed a boat flying the Turkish flag in the marina and headed towards it.
In the footage shared by Leros News, Mitsotakis was seen approaching the Turkish citizens on the boat, whom he had greeted from a distance with a wave, and starting a conversation with the words, "Welcome. How are you?"
After the brief conversation, the Greek Prime Minister left the area, saying, "Have a nice holiday, take care of yourselves."
HE HAD DRAWN ATTENTION TO TURKISH TOURISTS
A few days ago, during his visit to Esek Island off Didim, Mitsotakis had also mentioned the increase in the number of tourists coming to the Greek islands from Turkey.
Arguing that the fast visa application has yielded positive results, Mitsotakis had said that in the past, irregular migration was on the agenda, while today, visitors from Turkey are gaining weight on the islands. Mitsotakis had also stated that Turkish tourists make a significant contribution, especially to the economy of the Dodecanese.
