The 8-article agreement signed between the Syrian government and the SDF on March 10, 2025, secures the rights of all ethnic and religious minorities in Syria, foresees the integration of the region and infrastructure under SDF control with Damascus, and the integration of the SDF into the Syrian Army. The 8-article agreement was as follows:
"1. The representation and political participation rights of all Syrians, regardless of their religious or ethnic origin, shall be ensured based on merit.
2. The Kurdish community shall be recognized as an integral part of Syria, and their constitutional rights shall be guaranteed.
3. A ceasefire across all Syrian territories.
4. The integration of all civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria, including border crossings, airports, oil, and gas fields, under state administration.
5. Ensuring that all displaced Syrians return to their hometowns under state protection.
6. Supporting Syria's fight against all threats to Assad's remnants, security, and unity.
7. Rejecting calls for division, hate speech, and attempts to create discord.
8. Implementation committees will work to put the agreement into effect by the end of the year."
