An investigation was launched against Mabel Matiz on charges of obscenity under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code due to the lyrics of the song "Perperişan." Following a complaint from the Ministry of Interior, Matiz arrived at the courthouse accompanied by police. Access to the song had previously been restricted.
The Ministry of Interior announced that a criminal complaint has been filed against singer Mabel Matiz with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In a statement from the ministry, it was said, "A criminal complaint has been filed by our Ministry of Interior with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against singer Mabel Matiz under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code." Fatih Karaca, known as Mabel Matiz, came to the cyber crimes investigation office under police escort to give a statement regarding the lyrics of his song titled 'Perperişan' due to charges of obscenity.

The artist, whose real name is Fatih Karaca, arrived at the courthouse to give a statement to the Cyber Crimes Investigation Office as part of the investigation. Mabel Matiz, who was greeted by numerous members of the press upon his arrival, did not respond to any of the questions posed. Maintaining his silence, the artist entered the courthouse building with quick steps.
ACCESS BLOCK HAS BEEN IMPOSED
The Ministry of Family and Social Services also requested an access block for the relevant song, and an access block was imposed on the song on September 18. It was stated that the content of the song could harm the family institution, negatively affect the mental development of children and young people, disrupt public order, and lead to public outrage.
