The Fenerbahçe High Advisory Board has initiated an investigation into how Mert Hakan Yandaş was admitted to the general assembly and his ability to vote. According to the Fenerbahçe Club Regulations, it is stated that a member who is actively engaged in sports cannot exercise the right to vote and be elected.

According to the news by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu; the Fenerbahçe High Advisory Board requested explanations from the officials and the Board of Directors regarding how Mert Hakan Yandaş was allowed into the general assembly and has started to investigate the incident.

The relevant article of the Fenerbahçe Club Regulations, 15/6, states that "A member who participates in competitions in the sports branches where Fenerbahçe actively operates, either as an amateur or professional, and is actively engaged in sports life; shall not have the right to vote and be elected in the Club."
