While preparations intensify across the city for the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit scheduled for July 7-8 in the capital Ankara, taxi drivers will welcome foreign guests by wearing gray trousers and white shirts, offering Turkish delight, cologne, and cold water.

Mehmet Yiğiner, President of the Turkish Drivers and Automobile Federation (TŞOF), provided information about the preparations they are carrying out due to the NATO Summit.

Yiğiner stated that within the scope of the summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, drivers are also working to represent the country in the best way.

Yiğiner, noting that taxi drivers are the first people guests encounter as soon as they leave the airport, emphasized that they will play a critical role in promoting Ankara and reflecting hospitality.

TAXI DRIVERS WILL WEAR GRAY TROUSERS AND WHITE SHIRTS

Yiğiner reminded that a "red zone" application will be implemented at airports, in the area where the summit will be held, along protocol routes, and in the regions where delegations will stay, and spoke as follows:

"It is an important meeting for our country. The fact that the NATO Summit is taking place in our country and especially in Ankara has excited us as well. It is a very important meeting, and we are aware of this. We continue our preparations to serve our guests coming from abroad in the best way. Especially physically, our vehicles will be clean. Our drivers will wear gray trousers and white shirts. To promote Turkish culture, we will offer Turkish delight, cologne, and cold water due to the hot weather. We are increasing our service quality day by day."

"OUR AIM IS TO WELCOME OUR GUESTS IN THE BEST WAY"

Yiğiner pointed out that during this important process, taxi tradesmen will also work to promote the city and demonstrate hospitality, saying, "Our aim is to welcome our guests coming to our capital in the best way and to show a hosting style worthy of Ankara. We request all our taxi tradesmen to meticulously follow the directions of our security units and authorized institutions. Behaving with courtesy, a smiling face, and an exemplary tradesman stance towards our foreign guests is of great importance both for our profession and our country."

Yiğiner, emphasizing that the summit to be held in the capital will once again reveal Turkey's position in the international arena, stated:

"I believe that we will represent Turkey and Ankara in the best way with a hosting approach worthy of our capital. I thank all our taxi tradesmen for their sensitivity and care during this process."
