In an operation targeting establishments known as 'telebars' in Ankara, 56 out of 83 suspects, for whom detention warrants had been issued, were apprehended.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the Protection of Family and Investigation of Violence Against Women and Sexual Crimes conducted an operation against businesses reported to be facilitating prostitution, known to the public as 'telebar'.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 83 SUSPECTS
As part of the investigation carried out on charges of 'encouraging, facilitating, or coercing prostitution'; an arrest warrant was issued for 83 suspects working in 9 businesses based on the evidence obtained and technical surveillance.
POLICE ON THE TRAIL OF OTHER SUSPECTS
In the operation carried out by the Moral Bureau of the Public Security Branch of the Provincial Police Department, 56 suspects were arrested. It was stated that efforts to capture the other suspects are ongoing.
