Tense moments at the Esenyurt Municipality building! Police did not allow the CHP member.

CHP deputies decided to start a vigil in front of the Esenyurt Municipality building due to the arrest of Mayor Ahmet Özer and the appointment of a trustee in his place. Before the vigil, CHP members who wanted to enter the Esenyurt Municipal Council faced obstruction. Members were not allowed inside by the decision of Can Aksoy, who was appointed as the trustee. The sign of the CHP Group Meeting Room in the municipality was also taken down.

It was observed that police barricades were placed in front of the Esenyurt Municipality building, where CHP deputies decided to start their vigil. Council members and CHP Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, who arrived at the building, claimed that they were not allowed to enter the building.

After the tension, Istanbul Deputy Gökhan Günaydın, who came to the municipality building, spoke with the police. Günaydın tried to enter the municipality building alone. While trying to enter, Günaydın was surrounded by the police.

On the other hand, today CHP Municipal Council members were supposed to hold a council meeting at the municipality. Members who arrived at the municipality in the morning learned that the group meeting room was locked. Since the CHP members were not allowed inside, they decided to hold the council meeting in front of the municipality.
