Swedish media claimed that during NATO strategic exercises conducted in Maliö, a Russian drone approached the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, and the Swedish army intervened to drive the drone away using electronic warfare methods.
The Swedish press claimed that during NATO's strategic exercises in the region, unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to Russia were detected around the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, stationed at the port of Malmö in Sweden.
It was alleged that a significant security issue occurred near the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, belonging to the French Navy, stationed at the port of Malmö, as part of the strategic exercise activities and various operations conducted under NATO.
RUS DRONE CAUSED PANIC
According to a report in the Swedish press, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched from a Russian warship located offshore approached the aircraft carrier.
IMMEDIATE RESPONSE WAS GIVEN
Upon realizing the situation, the Swedish Armed Forces took action to intervene and resorted to electronic warfare methods against the UAV.
Following the Swedish army's signal jamming intervention against the UAV, it was reported that the UAV had disappeared. However, it is still unclear whether the vehicle returned to the Russian ship or fell into the sea. No official statement has been made regarding the incident yet.
