Ali Küçükuysal, who was on his way to his relative's wedding from the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar to the Kadıköy neighborhood of Buldan district in Denizli, lost control of his Volkswagen car with the license plate 20 GD 004 as he approached the Yenicekent junction on the Denizli-Manisa highway for an undetermined reason. The car, which veered into the opposite lane, collided head-on with an Opel car with the license plate 59 AHR 542, driven by T.T., who was traveling from Manisa towards Denizli.

In the accident, driver Ali Küçükuysal, his wife Sultan Küçükuysal, and their 9-year-old son C.K., along with the other vehicle's driver T.T. and two female passengers Ö.T. and A.T., were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in Buldan and Sarayköy by ambulances after the first intervention by health teams dispatched to the scene.

A FAMILY WAS LOST

The father, Ali Küçükuysal, and his 9-year-old son C.K., who were in critical condition, died despite all interventions at Buldan State Hospital, while mother Sultan Küçükuysal passed away at Sarayköy State Hospital. It was reported that the three injured individuals undergoing treatment were not in life-threatening condition.

Due to the accident, long vehicle queues formed on the Denizli-Manisa highway. Police and gendarmerie teams took necessary precautions to prevent another accident, and after the vehicles were removed with the help of tow trucks, the highway was reopened to traffic.
