A 21-year-old named Kübra Kölge, who was reportedly arguing with her family in Kasımpaşa, fell from the 5th-floor window shortly after going to her room and was seriously injured. The young girl, who was taken to the hospital in a pool of blood, lost her life at the hospital.
ARGUED WITH HER FAMILY, FELL FROM 5 FLOORS
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 12, around 21:00 in Beyoğlu Kasımpaşa Kızılay Square. According to reports, Kübra Kölge went to her room after arguing with her family at home. Shortly after, the young woman fell from the 5th-floor window onto an awning. Kölge, who fell from the awning to the ground, was seriously injured.
Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of nearby citizens. After the first intervention, Kölge was taken by ambulance to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital. However, despite all interventions, she lost her life.
MOTHER HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
The events that followed the incident were captured on a mobile phone camera. The footage showed Kölge lying on the ground in a pool of blood, while her mother Aysel Kölge was seen having a nervous breakdown at her daughter's head. Moments were recorded where nearby citizens tried to calm the mother by saying, "It's okay, she's alive."
"I SAW MY SISTER AT THE WINDOW"
In the investigation initiated by the police regarding the incident, they took the statement of Kölge's 12-year-old sister Ü.G.K. Ü.G.K. stated that while they were sitting with their family, her sister went to her room and that she last saw her at the window. Neighbors in the building expressed that they did not hear any fighting or noise. The police reported that the incident is being investigated in all its aspects.
