The incident occurred yesterday around 11:15 in Kağıthane Harmantepe neighborhood. Necip Dırmaz (65), who was in the car with his wife Mukaddes Dırmaz, started going downhill in the afternoon. Allegedly, the car started swaying when the brakes failed. In a panic, the driver's wife Mukaddes Dırmaz (61) opened the door and threw herself down. The woman was injured after being dragged for a few meters, while the car managed to stop after hitting three parked vehicles. The terrifying moments were captured on security cameras.
WOMAN'S CONDITION IS GOOD
Following the accident, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Health teams arrived at the scene quickly and after providing initial medical treatment, they transported the injured woman to the hospital by ambulance. It was reported that the woman's condition is good. The driver, on the other hand, was taken to the police station to give a statement after health checks. The driver's car involved in the accident was taken to the police impound lot with the help of a tow truck.
"MY CAR IS TOTALED"
Fikri Yaşaroğlu, whose car was rendered unusable in the accident, said, "We were sitting, having breakfast, and then there was a commotion. We heard a noise and went outside. They said the brakes didn't work, and he hit three cars. When he hit my car, three cars collided with each other. There was a woman who fell out of the car, they took her to the hospital, an ambulance came. The woman was conscious while she was here, they took her away in an ambulance, other than that, I don't know anything. Traffic officers came and filed a report. There are four cars involved in the accident, including the one that caused it. Only my car has damages worth around 400-500 thousand. My car is already totaled, the chassis is all messed up, the front cars have the same problem with their bumpers, but my car is the one that got damaged."
