The Turkish Football Federation has referred 1,024 football players to the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) as part of an investigation into betting activities in professional leagues. In line with this decision, the TFF will allow clubs to conduct a special transfer period for 15 days. Clubs will enter a 15-day winter transfer period to fill their gaps, and transfers can be made on a national scale. The TFF has started discussions with FIFA regarding this permission.
The Turkish Football Federation announced that 1024 football players were identified as having placed bets as part of an ongoing betting investigation targeting professional leagues, and these names were referred to the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK). The statement noted that the investigation is being conducted in cooperation with official institutions, and it was reported that the referral decision is valid as of November 10, 2025.
15-DAY ADDITIONAL TRANSFER PERIOD
The TFF is preparing to implement a special 15-day additional winter transfer and registration period, valid only at the national level, to allow clubs to fill the gaps in their squads due to this extraordinary situation.
NEGOTIATIONS WITH FIFA HAVE BEGUN
The TFF announced that it has initiated efforts with FIFA to enable clubs to make transfers on a national scale during this period. Following the discussions, the TFF is expected to announce its decision shortly.
