IT CAUSED GREAT SURPRISE
Recently, the list of 'Imitation or Adulterated Foods' and 'Foods That Will Endanger Health' announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been a topic of discussion in Turkey. One of Istanbul's famous pastry shops, 'Sarıyer Börekçisi', caused great surprise after these announcements.
STATEMENT FROM A 129-YEAR-OLD PASTRY SHOP
In response to these allegations, the 129-year-old established 'Sarıyer Börekçisi', located in Sarıyer Center, provided a statement. The business, which has been operating as 'Sarıyer Börekçisi' since 1895, stated, "We do not have any other branches. The Sarıyer Börekçisi mentioned in the news is not us."
"WE DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER BRANCH"
The statement included the following remarks: "We have been serving as Sarıyer Börekçisi since 1895. We do not have any other branches. The business mentioned in the news is unrelated to us."
In the continuation of the statement, it was said, "We have no connection with other businesses that operate using the same name. We kindly ask our customers to be careful about this matter and to obtain our products only from our official and genuine location, which operates under the name of Tarihi Sarıyer Börekçisi."
