Approximately 15 million TL (351,620 euros) hidden in a truck at the Kapitan Andreevo customs on the other side of the Edirne Kapıkule Border Gate was seized thanks to the customs detector dog, Adele.
On the other side of the Edirne Kapıkule Border Gate, 351,620 euros, which were hidden in a truck and not declared, were seized with the participation of a detector dog at the Kapitan Andreevo customs.
UNDECLARED MONEY FOUND
Inspectors from the Kapitan Andreevo Police Station Customs Department, accompanied by a specially trained dog named Adel, found undeclared money in the driver's cabin of a truck during an x-ray inspection.
According to the information obtained, the truck, which was traveling from Denmark to Jordan via Bulgaria and Turkey, arrived at the control point. Unusual densities were detected in the driver's cabin, leading to a detailed customs inspection, including an x-ray. The customs dog Adele, trained to sniff the special inks on euro banknotes, was also involved in the inspection.
The dog indicated to the officers that there was hidden money behind the wall of the refrigerator drawer and on the floor behind the cabinet where the coffee machine was located. It was determined that a total of 351,620 euros found here had not been declared.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
While the seized money was confiscated, an investigation was initiated by 1,000 inspectors from the Burgas Customs Directorate under the supervision of the Haskovo Regional Prosecutor's Office - Svilengrad Regional Directorate regarding the incident.
