The 18th hearing of the case, in which 200 defendants, including 7 mayors, 6 of whom have been suspended from their duties, are being prosecuted as part of the investigation into the crime organization led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, has begun.

The hearing, held in the hall opposite the Marmara Closed Penal Institution by the Istanbul 1st Heavy Penal Court, was attended by some detained and non-detained defendants along with their lawyers. Relatives of the defendants, as well as some CHP executives and party members, were present as spectators.
Intensive security measures were taken by the gendarmerie personnel in the hall and its surroundings.
The hearing continues with the collection of requests from the lawyers.
FROM THE INDICTMENT
In the 579-page indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Beşiktaş Municipality, Avcılar Municipality, Esenyurt Municipality, Istanbul ASFALT Factories Inc. and Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Operations General Directorate are listed as "victims of the crime," 19 individuals as "victims," and 200 individuals as "suspects."
In the indictment, it is requested that the defendant Aziz İhsan Aktaş be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 187 years to 450 years for "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," "interfering with the tender" from 42 different acts, "interfering with the performance of the obligation" from 4 different acts, "forgery in official documents" from 5 different acts, "forgery in private documents" from 21 different acts, "fraud to the detriment of public institutions and organizations," "bribery" from 10 different acts, "money laundering of assets derived from crime," and "issuing false invoices," and that the assets obtained from the crime be confiscated.
In the indictment, it is requested that the suspended Avcılar Mayor defendant Utku Caner Çaykara be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 5 to 15 years for "interfering with the tender" and "receiving bribes" from 2 different acts, and that the suspended Esenyurt Mayor defendant Ahmet Özer be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 3 to 9 years for "interfering with the tender" from 2 different acts and "forgery in private documents" from 2 different acts.
Additionally, in the indictment, it is requested that the suspended Seyhan Mayor defendant Oya Tekin, Ceyhan Mayor defendant Kadir Aydar, Adana Metropolitan Mayor defendant Zeydan Karalar, and the suspended Adıyaman Mayor defendant Abdurrahman Tutdere, who was reinstated after the removal of judicial control, be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 4 to 12 years for "receiving bribes."
Furthermore, in the indictment, it is requested that the suspended Beşiktaş Mayor defendant Rıza Akpolat be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 133 years to 337 years for "being a member of a criminal organization," "interfering with the tender" from 26 different acts, "forgery in official documents" from 3 different acts, "forgery in private documents" from 19 different acts, "fraud to the detriment of public institutions and organizations," "receiving bribes" from 4 different acts, "money laundering of assets derived from crime," and "unjust enrichment," and that the assets obtained from the crime be confiscated.
