The 38th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race concluded at Kuruçeşme, starting from Kanlıca Ferry Pier, with the participation of nearly 2,500 professional swimmers from 64 countries. The race, which was started by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, saw increased security measures coordinated by the Coast Guard, the Directorate General of Coastal Safety, and the Marine Police.
Swimmers participating in the 38th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race started the race from Kanlıca Ferry Pier. The race, in which nearly 2,500 professional swimmers from 64 countries participated, ended in Kuruçeşme.
THE RACE STARTED FROM KANLICA FERRY PIER
The 38th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race, organized this year by the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), was held in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Governorship of Istanbul, the Turkish Swimming Federation, and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak gave the start of the 38th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race held in the Bosphorus from Kanlıca Ferry Pier. The race is taking place with the participation of nearly 2,500 swimmers from 64 countries. The race, held in the Bosphorus, started at 10:00 from Kanlıca Ferry Pier.
SECURITY MEASURES WERE INCREASED
This year, security measures were increased by the Turkish National Olympic Committee for the race. Comprehensive measures were taken in coordination with relevant institutions, especially the Coast Guard, the Directorate General of Coastal Safety, and the Maritime Police, to ensure the race was held safely. In the race, athletes will start from Kanlıca Pier and finish on the Kuruçeşme side.
