AK Party Antalya Deputy Atay Uslu announced that the cadastral, property and usage disputes that have been ongoing for 52 years in Çıralı will be resolved with the bill passed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. With the regulation, the region will be re-planned and the uncertainties of the citizens will come to an end.

AK Party Antalya Deputy Atay Uslu stated that the Soil Protection and Land Use Law, along with the Paddy Law and the Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws, which were adopted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly, will resolve problems arising from cadastral, ownership, and usage inconsistencies that have persisted for 52 years in the natural wonder holiday resort of Çıralı. Uslu said, "This has become almost a law specific to Çıralı. In its justification, we clearly wrote, 'We drafted this law to solve the problem in Çıralı.' It is stated in the justification. We await its publication in the Official Gazette."

AK Party Antalya Deputy Atay Uslu noted that in Çıralı, a holiday resort famous for natural wonders such as the nesting area of the caretta caretta sea turtles in the Kemer district and Yanartaş, the source of the first Olympic flame in the world, the problems caused by cadastral, ownership, and usage inconsistencies that have lasted for 52 years will come to an end with the Soil Protection and Land Use Law and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Paddy Law and Certain Laws, adopted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly.

"CONTRADICTIONS IN PRACTICE WILL BE RESOLVED"

Uslu, emphasizing that they have taken a very important legal step to solve the problem in Çıralı, said, "Article Extra 23 of the Forestry Law included in the law we adopted is a significant regulation concerning Çıralı Neighborhood in Kemer district of Antalya. The Extra 23 regulation will ensure the resolution of problems arising from cadastral, ownership, and usage inconsistencies that have continued for years in our Çıralı Neighborhood. As clearly stated in the law's justification, with our regulation, reassessment processes will be initiated in our Antalya Kemer Çıralı Neighborhood and similar areas. This way, contradictions in practice will be eliminated, and it is aimed to end the uncertainties our citizens have faced for years. May this long-awaited regulation be beneficial for our Çıralı, our Kemer, and our region," he said.

REGION WILL BE RE-PLANNED

Atay Uslu, stating that this problem in Çıralı has become very complicated over many years, said, "The situation here is very complex; in the past, these areas were agricultural land. The problem has been ongoing since 1974. An area close to 700 decares, and the cadastre classified it as forest. Citizens objected. Then it became 2-B status. Then, through court decisions, it became forest again. That is the issue. We will have the area reverted to 2-B status, and its condition will be determined based on scientific reports to be examined. Already, in its current state, it will return to being the property of the villagers. Since the area was forest, there was a demolition order; we will ensure the region is re-planned within the framework of a conservation development plan. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change prepared a conservation development plan there. Perhaps Çıralı became one of the first villages in Turkey to fully implement a conservation development plan," he stated.

"I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS ISSUE FOR 7 YEARS"

Atay Uslu, expressing that this situation does not occur in any other region in Turkey besides Çıralı, said, "This has become almost a law specific to Çıralı. In its justification, we clearly wrote, 'We drafted this law to solve the problem in Çıralı.' It is stated in the justification. There is an ownership issue in Çıralı; we drafted this law, or rather this draft law, aimed at resolving the problem between the state and citizens in Çıralı, to solve the ownership issue. Now, this draft law was submitted to the Parliament and passed through the General Assembly. We now await its publication in the Official Gazette. I have been following this matter for about 7 years, suggesting we introduce a special law, and we solved it. Of course, the Minister of Agriculture made a great contribution. The group chairman made a great contribution. The General Directorate of Forestry made significant efforts to resolve the issue," he said.
