Sources from the Ministry of National Defense stated that the accident in which 6 of our soldiers were martyred in Isparta occurred as a result of two helicopters colliding during flight training.
On December 9, Monday, six of our soldiers, including the Commander of the Army Aviation School, Brigadier General İsa Baydilli, were martyred as a result of a military helicopter crash during a training flight in the Keçiborlu district of Isparta.
THERE IS A STATEMENT FROM MINISTRY SOURCES
Sources from the Ministry of National Defense announced the cause of the accident today with a written statement. Ministry sources stated, "The accident occurred as a result of two helicopters in flight training colliding with each other. The UH-1 helicopter was damaged in the accident, while the AB-206 helicopter made a safe landing."
"INVESTIGATION CONTINUES"
They stated, "The accident is not related to the age or maintenance of the helicopter. A detailed investigation regarding the accident is ongoing."
