Ulaş Tuna Astepe, the lead actor of the series "This Sea Will Overflow," experienced emotional moments while describing his common traits with the character Adil he portrays. Astepe mentioned that both his character and he grew up without parents.
In the series "This Sea Will Overflow" broadcasted on TRT 1, Ulaş Tuna Astepe, who plays the character Adil, explained the deepest connection between his role and real life during an interview he attended. The successful actor stated that he does not see his character as very distant from himself.
'OUR COMMON POINT IS GROWING UP WITHOUT PARENTS'
Astepe said, "Adil is a very tough and difficult man. But he is compassionate and just towards those around him. He is a rugged young man from Trabzon. Our common point is that he grew up without parents. He has also experienced losses and has resentments. Sometimes, a person expresses their feelings with anger because they cannot cope with their losses. There is a smallness beneath every greatness," he expressed.
Emphasizing that the character's fundamental motivation is the love that is missing, the actor stated, "What gives him existence is a love he cannot reach. He has no parents. Whatever a person lacks, they turn towards that," he said.
HE HAD SHARED ABOUT HIS LOSSES IN THE FAMILY
Ulaş Tuna Astepe had previously shared the losses he experienced regarding his family in interviews.
The actor's father was one of the family members living in Izmit during the 1999 Marmara Earthquake. After the earthquake, his father, who was diagnosed with cancer, passed away while Astepe was still a high school student.
After his father's death, the actor's mother also passed away after a long illness. Astepe had stated that he lost his mother during his education in Istanbul.
