Murphy pointed out that what Trump said was very different from Iran's statements, noting that Trump left the control of the Strait of Hormuz to Iran, accepted Iran's right to enrich uranium, suspended all sanctions against Iran, and allowed Iran to maintain its missile, drone, and nuclear programs.
"TRUMP LIES EVERY DAY"
The US senator used the following expressions in a television broadcast he participated in:
"Donald Trump lies every day. He is not telling the truth clearly. If you accept even part of Iran's statement, it means Trump has agreed to give control of the Strait of Hormuz to Iran. This is extraordinary.
"WHO KNOWS WHICH ONE IS TRUE"
If you look more deeply into the statement of the Iranian National Security Council, it is claimed that Trump also accepted Iran's right to enrich uranium, agreed to suspend all sanctions imposed on Iran, and allowed Iran to continue its missile, drone, and nuclear programs. Who knows which of these is true, but at least if this agreement gives Iran the right to control the Strait, it would be a disaster for the world, and it is truly astonishing to believe how we have come to this point. Trump has taken military action that has given Iran control of a critical waterway they did not have before, at least for now, without starting a war.

2-WEEK CEASEFIRE ANNOUNCED
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, as well as many high-ranking officials, were killed.
US President Donald Trump announced that he accepted a two-week mutual ceasefire with Iran on the condition that the Strait of Hormuz is fully opened.
The Iranian administration stated that it aimed to conclude the negotiations to end the war with the US and Israel during the 15-day ceasefire period to be held in Pakistan.
WHAT DOES IRAN'S 10-POINT PROPOSAL INCLUDE?
Iranian state media announced the conditions of the 10-point ceasefire.
- The US must provide a principled guarantee of non-aggression
- Passage through the Strait of Hormuz must be conducted in a controlled manner in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces
- Acceptance of uranium enrichment
- Removal of all sanctions against Iran
- Removal of primary sanctions against Iran
- Termination of UN Security Council resolutions
- Termination of International Atomic Energy Agency decisions
- Complete compensation for damages caused to Iran according to calculations and the release of all frozen Iranian assets
- Withdrawal of US combat forces from all bases and deployment points in the region
- End of the war against allied groups on all fronts, including Lebanon
