US ARMY CALLS ON IRANIAN CIVILIANS TO STAY AWAY FROM PORTS
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement calling on Iranian civilians to stay away from ports. The statement said, "US forces are calling on the civilian population in Iran to immediately stay away from all port facilities where Iranian naval forces are operating. Iranian port workers, administrative personnel, and commercial ship crews should stay away from Iranian military vessels and military equipment.
The Iranian regime is using civilian ports along the Strait of Hormuz to conduct military operations that threaten international shipping. This dangerous action puts the lives of innocent people at risk. Under international law, civilian ports used for military purposes lose their protection status and become legitimate military targets," it was stated.
