During the budget discussions of the Ministry of Justice in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the decision to prevent parliamentary reporters from taking pictures caused a major uproar.

THE SITUATION ESCALATED WHEN THE DEPUTIES NOTICED

As it was announced to the parliamentary reporters that they would not be able to take pictures with their mobile phones, tensions suddenly rose, and opposition deputies reacted when they realized what was happening.

"JOURNALISTS AND REPORTERS ARE BEING BLOCKED"

MHP's Fethi Yıldız addressed CHP's Veli Ağbaba, saying, "Enough already, how much longer will you talk?" and stood up. CHP's Serkan Sarı stated, "Journalists and reporters are being blocked. The press is the fourth estate; you cannot prevent this."

A BREAK WAS GIVEN TO THE COMMISSION

MHP's Baki Ersoy pointed his finger at Ağbaba and said, "Get that Serkan Sarı out of here." Opposition deputies reacted. A break was given to the commission due to the discussions.
