In Beşiktaş, Istanbul, Muhammet S. took bank manager Özlem G.E. hostage by holding a knife to her throat after coming to the bank branch from which he was fired. The incident occurred around 10:30 in the Nispetiye neighborhood on Aytar Street. According to the information obtained, Muhammet S. arrived at the bank branch on the street. The suspect entered and held a knife to the throat of the bank manager Özlem G.E. The suspect then told the security officer Ferhat D. to drop his weapon. After taking the weapon, the suspect went outside and fired a shot into the air.
ROBBERY ALERT WAS MADE, THE TRUTH WAS DIFFERENT
Upon the robbery alert from the surrounding people, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. In the operation that lasted about 1 hour, the attacker was intervened with a trained special operations dog. The attacker, who was slightly injured in the knee, was captured by the police teams and handed over to an ambulance. The attacker was then taken to the hospital. The weapon and knife used by the suspect in the incident were seized by the police.
