The fight against the forest fire in Çanakkale yielded results on the second day. The missing person in Anzac Cove, located in the Historical Gallipoli Peninsula where the Çanakkale Wars took place, was captured on aerial footage.
The Historical Gallipoli Peninsula, located within the boundaries of Eceabat district in Çanakkale, was heavily affected by a forest fire.
A fire started in agricultural land near Büyükanafarta village, which is connected to Eceabat, yesterday morning at 09:51. The fire spread to the forested area, growing with the effect of the wind. The fire spread to a large area in the Historical Gallipoli Peninsula, where the Çanakkale Wars took place. The fire, which continued on land throughout the night, was also intervened by air with the first light of the day.
REINFORCEMENT TEAMS JOINED THE EFFORTS
The Anzac Cove, affected by the flames in the Historical Gallipoli Peninsula, where the Çanakkale Wars took place and located within the boundaries of Eceabat, was captured by a drone. The efforts of the Çanakkale Regional Directorate of Forestry teams, along with the reinforcement teams from surrounding cities and districts, continue to bring the fire under control.
