BRITISH ACTIVIST SHARED HIS EXPERIENCES
While the activists were welcomed with great support, British activist Kieran Andrieu from the Global Sumud Fleet recounted his experiences when he was detained by Israel.
Andrieu, who said, "I was on the fleet because first and foremost my father is Palestinian," expressed, "There is no greater issue than the genocide in Gaza that humanity is currently facing and the oppression that Israel inflicts on Palestinians every day."
"THEY MADE US WEAR PRISONER CLOTHES, TURKEY GAVE US REAL CLOTHES"
Describing the torture they endured from Israel, the activist said, "Israel tried to make us wear prisoner clothes, but we were not prisoners; we were captives, hostages. Israel does this to Palestinians every day."
“Israel treated us very badly. They did not provide essential medications that people must use. Last night, we shouted that one of us had a heart attack. They did not come. They did not care. They gave us food infested with insects. Some people were subjected to torture. They made us wear prisoner clothes. Turkey, you gave us real clothes. Thank you very much,” he said.
