3 BUILDINGS EVACUATED
At around 22:40 yesterday, a partial collapse occurred in a three-story abandoned building on Atgeçmez Street in the Balat neighborhood. Those who heard sounds coming from the building notified the police, medical, fire, and AFAD teams. The teams took extensive security measures in the area and carried out their work. Two buildings next to the abandoned building and one across the street were evacuated as a precaution.
Partial collapses also occurred on part of the road where the abandoned building is located. It has been learned that a decision will be made on whether to demolish the building after examinations are conducted on samples taken from it. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the three-story building where the collapse occurred belongs to the singer Gökhan Özoğuz, known as Athena Gökhan.
