According to a report by India's NDTV channel, police officials stated that a bus caught fire after colliding with a tipper truck in the Markapuram district of Andhra Pradesh.

Police officials indicated that some of the 13 people who lost their lives in the accident died by burning, and 20 injured individuals were transferred to nearby hospitals.
