In a traffic accident that occurred in the Kumluca district of Antalya, a car lost control and overturned. The driver, Mert Demirel, and his friend, Kemal Talih, lost their lives, while two others were injured.
In the Kumluca district of Antalya, the driver Mert Demirel (25) and Kemal Talih (23) lost their lives when their car veered off the road and rolled over, while 2 others in the vehicle were injured.
The accident occurred around 05:00 near the Belen Olimpos Junction on the Kumluca-Kemer highway. While heading from Kumluca towards Kemer, Mert Demirel lost control of the car, which broke through the barriers, rolled over, and fell into the ditch.
2 DEAD, 2 INJURED IN THE GRUESOME ACCIDENT
Teams were dispatched to the accident site upon notification from bystanders. It was determined that Mert Demirel and Kemal Talih in the vehicle had lost their lives under the supervision of the medical teams. The injured Yunus Emre Küçükkara and Tolga Kurtarıcı were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The lifeless bodies of Demirel and Talih were taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
Upon receiving the sad news, the relatives of Mert Demirel and Kemal Talih were overcome with tears as they received the bodies. The funerals of Demirel and Talih were buried in Göynük Cemetery. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
