A fire broke out in the engine compartment of a moving car on the Bursa-Izmir Highway, while the driver helplessly watched as the vehicle turned into a ball of flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the car sustained material damage.
A fire broke out in the engine of a car while driving in Bursa, and the car, which turned into a ball of flames, became unusable.
THE CAR BURNT IN FLAMES
The incident occurred around 8:00 PM at the Görükle Junction on the Bursa-Izmir Highway, heading towards Görükle. The driver, Ahmet Y., noticed smoke rising from the engine compartment of the car with the license plate 07 NYM 70 and pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road to stop. Shortly after, the vehicle caught fire and began to burn.
THE DRIVER WATCHED HELPLESSLY
The driver watched helplessly as his car burned. Fire crews were dispatched to the scene upon notification, and the fire was brought under control and extinguished with the intervention of the teams. While the vehicle suffered material damage in the fire, no injuries were reported in the incident.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the fire.
