According to the results of the Household Expectations Survey announced by the Central Bank for the first time, the annual inflation expectation of citizens for 12 months later remained unchanged at 48.81%. The dollar/TL expectation decreased by 0.71 TL compared to the previous month, falling to 51.56 TL.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has published the results of the Household Expectations Survey for February. According to the survey, which included 3,217 households, the annual inflation expectation for 12 months later remained unchanged from the previous month at 48.81%.
FOOD AND ENERGY STAND OUT
Participants ranked the product/service groups whose prices have increased the most in the last year and are expected to increase the most in the next 12 months as "food" and "fuel and energy." The proportion of those who considered food as the most increasing group decreased by 0.2 points to 41.1%.
HOUSING AND DOLLAR EXPECTATIONS HAVE DECLINED
The expectation for an increase in housing prices in the next 12 months decreased by 3.82 points to 35.41% compared to January. During the same period, the expectation for the dollar exchange rate also decreased by 0.71 lira, falling to 51.56 lira.
GOLD IS THE TOP INVESTMENT
According to the survey, the proportion of those who said "I will buy gold" increased by 2.7 points to 55.5%. The proportion of those who said "I will buy a house/shop/land" was recorded as 30%, a decrease of 1.2 points.
