In Gaziantep, a 6-year-old girl named Verd Sabuni was hit by a car while trying to cross the road. Severely injured, she was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all medical interventions. The family's cries at the scene were heart-wrenching, while the driver was taken into custody and an investigation into the incident was launched.
A 6-year-old child lost their life in a traffic accident that occurred in Gaziantep's Şahinbey district.
The accident took place in the Malazgirt neighborhood during the evening hours. According to claims, a car whose license plate and driver's identity were not initially determined struck Verd Sabuni, a 6-year-old Syrian national, who was trying to cross the road.
LOST THE BATTLE FOR LIFE AT THE HOSPITAL
Upon notification from those nearby, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene for the severely injured child. After initial aid, Verd Sabuni was first taken to Abdulkadir Yüksel State Hospital and then to Gaziantep City Hospital. Despite all efforts by doctors, Sabuni could not be saved and died.
FAMILY'S LAMENTATIONS TOUCHED HEARTS
The little girl's body was handed over to her family for burial after procedures at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute were completed.
The tears and lamentations of family members who arrived at the scene after the accident caused great sorrow in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, it was learned that the car driver was taken into custody and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
