In the trial of Hasan Dim, who is accused of killing his wife with an iron in Tekirdağ, the defendant's 17-year-old child filed a complaint against him; a decision was made to continue the defendant's detention. The next hearing of the investigation will take place on May 27.
In the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ, a decision was made to continue the detention of the defendant, who is accused of causing the death of his wife through violence.
In the hearing held at the Tekirdağ 4th High Criminal Court, detained defendant Hasan Dim, along with the parents of the deceased Elif Dim and the lawyers of both parties, attended.
Lawyer Onur Tatar stated that according to the forensic report submitted to the court, it was determined that Elif Dim suffered a brain hemorrhage due to being struck on the head with a hard object, specifically an iron.
THE CHILD COMPLAINED
The son of the defendant and the victim, M.B. Dim, was also heard in the Judicial Interview Room with the presence of a psychologist. The child stated in his testimony that he was complaining about his father. Elif Dim's parents expressed in court that they wanted the defendant to be punished in the harshest way possible.
POSTPONED TO MAY 27
In his defense, Hasan Dim stated that he did not hit his wife with an iron and expressed deep sorrow over the events. A decision was made to continue his detention. The hearing was postponed to May 27.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On the night of August 23, 2024, a dispute arose between Hasan Dim, who owns a raw meatball shop in the Çınarlı neighborhood of Süleymanpaşa, Tekirdağ, and Elif Dim, the mother of his two children who worked in a factory, while the children were not at home.
During the argument, Hasan Dim killed his wife Elif Dim by assaulting her. After leaving the house, Hasan Dim went to the coffeehouse where his son A.E.D. (17) worked and said, "I killed your mother, go home and see," before leaving. When his son went home and found his mother motionless, he reported the situation to the police.
Upon the arrival of the police and medical teams, it was determined that Elif Dim had lost her life. An autopsy conducted at the Tekirdağ Forensic Medicine Institution revealed that Elif Dim had been killed by assault.
