The CHP Information Technology Officer O.G.E. was detained as part of the "Corruption" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. O.G.E. is facing charges of "illegally obtaining personal data."
Within the scope of the 'Corruption' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a report from the National Cyber Incident Response Center revealed that the election ballot data of 11 million 360 thousand 412 voters in Istanbul, identified within the application named 'IBB Hanem', was matched with many personal data held by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
CHP IT RESPONSIBLE IN CUSTODY
Following the determination of the transfer of election ballot data obtained by the Republican People's Party (CHP) from the Supreme Election Council to 'members of a criminal organization', the CHP IT Responsible suspect O.G.E. was taken into custody for the crimes of 'illegally providing or obtaining data' and 'recording personal data'.
