In the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, journalists Batuhan Çolak, Şaban Sevinç, Yavuz Oğhan, Ruşen Çakır, Soner Yalçın, and Aslı Aydıntaşbaş were released under judicial control with a travel ban imposed on them.
A travel ban has been imposed on 6 journalists whose statements were taken in the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).
JOURNALISTS Batuhan Çolak, Şaban Sevinç, and Yavuz Oğhan were taken to the Financial Crimes Unit of the Istanbul Police Department under police escort to give statements regarding the charges of 'Publicly Disseminating False Information' and 'Assisting a Criminal Organization' in the corruption investigation against İBB. It was reported that instructions were given by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to the Istanbul Police Department for the statements of Ruşen Çakır, Soner Yalçın, and Aslı Aydıntaşbaş to be taken as well. Çakır and Yalçın were released under judicial control after completing their procedures at the police station.
RUŞEN ÇAKIR IS ALSO BEING TAKEN TO THE POLICE
On the other hand, within the scope of the operation conducted regarding the allegation of 'Corruption' against İBB, an order had been given for the statements of 6 journalists to be taken in custody. Police teams went to the address where Ruşen Çakır, who was reported to be outside Istanbul, was located. It was learned that the police teams brought Çakır from Sakarya to Istanbul.
JUDICIAL CONTROL MEASURES WERE APPLIED
After their statements at the police station, the suspects were released under judicial control measures in the form of a 'travel ban'. (
