Metro İstanbul announced the opening of the Taksim and Şişhane stations on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line, as well as the Taksim-Kabataş funicular line.

Some stations on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line were closed to operation due to the protests in Istanbul. In a statement made on Metro Istanbul's social media account, it was announced that the stations have been reopened for transportation.

The statement included the following phrases:

In a statement made last night, it was stated, "In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governorship, until further notice, our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line's Taksim Station, Şişhane Station, and F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will remain closed for operation. Our vehicles will continue their services without stopping at Taksim and Şişhane stations."
