Sad news came about 8-year-old Narin Güran, who has been missing for 19 days in Diyarbakır. Güran's body was found in a sack in the riverbed where the search has been conducted for three days, covered with large stones. The fact that none of the three ministers expressed condolences to the family in their messages drew attention. This development was interpreted as a possibility that one of the family members may be involved in the murder. DEVASTATING NEWS ANNOUNCED BY MINISTER YERLİKAYAInterior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the news of finding Narin Güran's body. Yerlikaya said in his social media post, "Unfortunately, the lifeless body of our Narin girl, who went missing in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, was found by our gendarmerie teams. I pray for mercy for Narin girl. May she rest in peace. Our condolences." MINISTER TUNÇ: THOSE RESPONSIBLE WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BEFORE JUSTICEJustice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, in his first statement on social media, said, "The sad news of our Narin Güran, who went missing in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, deeply saddened all of us. I pray for mercy for Narin girl. The investigation initiated by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office from the very beginning of the incident is being carried out in a comprehensive and meticulous manner. Those responsible for Narin girl's death will be held accountable before justice." MINISTER OF FAMILY: WE WILL FOLLOW THE PROCESSMinister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said, "Unfortunately, the lifeless body of our Narin, who went missing in Bağlar, Diyarbakır, has been found. Our condolences. May Narin rest in peace. As the Ministry, we will personally follow the process for the heaviest punishment of those responsible." "ALL SUSPICIONS TURNED TO THE FAMILY"The statements of journalist Emrullah Erdinç, who connected to the live broadcast after the development with Narin, also strengthened the allegations. Erdinç said, "All suspicions turned to the family. The uncle had suspicious statements before. The uncle is the primary suspect, most likely, as there are DNA samples in the car. Whether the uncle killed or knew about the murder, all of these will be revealed through the investigation. The uncle is among the initial suspects, most likely." WHAT HAPPENED?Narin Güran, who went to a Quran course in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district on August 21, did not return home after the course, so her family searched for her on their own. When no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father Arif Güran reported that his daughter was missing on the same day around 20:00. As a result, many search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village. While the search was ongoing, Narin Güran's brother E.G. (18) was detained due to bite marks on his arm. Since it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was detained. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his car matched the DNA samples on Narin's clothes, was arrested on charges of "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty." Teams, who focused on previously searched areas again, conducted a search in Eğertutmaz Stream, located 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was thrown into the stream in a sack and covered with stones after being killed.
