According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the construction cost index increased by 34.27% year-on-year and by 0.70% month-on-month in December 2024. The building construction cost index rose by 34.67% year-on-year, while the index for non-building structures increased by 33.0% year-on-year.

Accordingly, the construction cost index increased by 0.70% in December 2024 compared to the previous month and by 34.27% compared to the same month of the previous year. The material index increased by 0.41% compared to the previous month, and the labor index increased by 1.29%. Additionally, compared to the same month of the previous year, the material index increased by 26.18%, and the labor index increased by 54.35%.



BUILDING CONSTRUCTION COST INDEX INCREASED BY 34.67% ANNUALLY



The building construction cost index increased by 0.66% compared to the previous month and by 34.67% compared to the same month of the previous year. The material index increased by 0.40% compared to the previous month, and the labor index increased by 1.18%. Additionally, compared to the same month of the previous year, the material index increased by 26.81%, and the labor index increased by 53.38%.



CONSTRUCTION COST INDEX FOR NON-BUILDING STRUCTURES INCREASED BY 33.0% ANNUALLY



The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 0.81% compared to the previous month and by 33.0% compared to the same month of the previous year. The material index increased by 0.42% compared to the previous month, and the labor index increased by 1.69%. Additionally, compared to the same month of the previous year, the material index increased by 24.27%, and the labor index increased by 57.92%.
