According to the research of Istanbul Planning Agency, the cost of living in Istanbul increased by 61.84% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The average cost of living for a family of four was announced as 68,933 TL.

Compared to the previous year's August, the annual (last 12 months) increase rate of the cost of living in Istanbul was 61.84%.

AVERAGE COST OF LIVING INCREASED

In August, the average cost of living for a family of four in Istanbul was calculated as 68,933 lira.

The average cost of living in Istanbul increased by 2,383 lira compared to the previous month.

TOILET PAPER PRICE INCREASED BY 124%

Toilet paper increased by 124.77% on an annual basis.

When looking at the price increases of basic consumer goods compared to the previous year's August, the most striking price increase was the toilet paper price with a 124.77% increase rate.

The annual increase rates in other products are as follows:

Eggs: 31.32%

Flour: 64.35%

Chicken Meat: 72.66%

Paste: 30.04%

Tea: 56.16%

Chickpeas: 64.07%

White Cheese: 60.59%

Butter: 44.22%

Underwear (Men): 63.49%

Sweatpants (Women): 39.65%

Socks (Children): 102.72%
