Beşiktaş announced that the match against Maccabi Tel Aviv will be played without spectators in Debrecen, Hungary.

Here is the statement from Beşiktaş;

"The UEFA Europa League match between Beşiktaş and Maccabi Tel Aviv has been decided to be held in Debrecen, Hungary, which is the only country that accepted to host the match as a result of discussions between our club, UEFA, the national federations affiliated with UEFA, and local authorities. Although an agreement was reached with the local authorities of Hungary for the match between Beşiktaş and Maccabi Tel Aviv to be played with spectators, the local officials of Hungary decided today that the match will be played without spectators, citing the incidents that occurred during the Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv match as a reason. The UEFA Europa League match between Beşiktaş and Maccabi Tel Aviv will be played behind closed doors at the Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen, Hungary, on November 28, 2024. We kindly request our fans not to make travel plans regarding this match to avoid any inconvenience."
