DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1
Millions of property owners must complete their payments by Monday, December 1 at the latest. If the deadline is missed, a late fee of 3.5% will be added to the debts each month.
PENALTY INTEREST APPLIES
Tax payments can be made either in a single payment or in installments. However, penalty interest applies to taxpayers who do not fulfill their obligations on time.
EXEMPTION SCOPE IS BROAD
Retirees who own a single residence not exceeding 200 square meters, as well as retired widows and orphans receiving pensions, are exempt from property tax. This exemption also applies to disabled individuals, veterans, and citizens who can officially prove that they have no income.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Property tax can be easily paid at the cashiers of the municipalities to which the property is connected, as well as through the e-Government portal and the municipalities' online payment systems. Citizens can also complete their transactions by going directly to the municipality if they wish.
